Through continuous improvement of our systems, processes and materials, we strive to minimise the impact of our work on the environment and to ensure that, as a minimum, we comply with all relevant environmental legislation and recognised codes of conduct.
Practice
Our environmental policy provides the framework for setting and reviewing environmental objectives and targets. It actively promotes education and training of our employees on environmental issues and the impact of their activities on the environment, and provides assurance to all stakeholders of our commitment to presentable environmental management.
The following main objectives serve as guidelines in the implementation of our environmental policy:
- Protection of the environment, prevention of pollution, reduction of emissions and waste at the site
- Raising awareness, promoting participation and training employees on environmental issues
- We are committed to improving our environmental performance
- Promoting similar environmental standards among our suppliers and subcontractors
- We support our customers in using products and services in an environmentally friendly way.
- Use of wood from sustainable (managed) forests (FSC or similar)
- Procedures to minimise noise nuisance to others
- Use of renewable energy sources and reduction of carbon emissions
- Promoting safe and healthy buildings for our clients
- Promoting and facilitating a healthy working environment for our employees
Progress is regularly monitored and environmental performance reviewed.
Changes in legislation and improvements to this policy will be communicated to all users of our environmental management system.
